Grand Cru wines

Grand Cru is the highest classification for Burgundy wines. There are 33 Grand Cru wines covering an area of approximately 550 hectares, approximately 2% of the total Burgundy wine production. The Grand Cru vineyards have a relatively small surface area and are therefore rare and prestigious. All Grand Cru wines are fantastic, but perhaps Romanée Conti is the very best, with a production of less than 6,000 bottles per year this is surely the most coveted red wine in the world.
